Parent Experiences with School-Based Diabetes Care in the Era of Real Time Data Sharing

Despite heavy use of diabetes tech at home, little is known about its school use for children with type 1 diabetes (T1DM). A US survey of 476 parents of K–12 children with T1DM asked about home and school tech use and prior-year school care. Nearly all children (99.8%) used continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and 95% of parents received remote CGM data, but only 47% had remote alert monitoring at school by someone able to respond.
